What services or products do you offer, and where can people find them?

I’m the leading cannabis attorney in the state of New York. We have numerous clients at every step of the cannabis value chain, and we are recognized as a thought leader in the regulated cannabis space. Every Wednesday at 4:20pm New York City time, we do “Ask Me Anything about Cannabis Legalization in New York” which is among the leading cannabis shows on the Internet.

What is your mission or purpose?
We have a particular interest in justice-involved individuals as well as social and economic equity cannabis license applicants. In this capacity, we aid cannabis prisoners in gaining their freedom and assist those convicted of cannabis offenses in getting such convictions expunged from their record.
What made you choose to start a company in this industry?
I’ve been a cannabis activist for a long time. In late ’21, shortly after New York legalized cannabis, I texted my Mom that I was going to stop doing the other things I had been doing and focus on cannabis 110% with the goal of being invited to speak at 1 event in the coming year. Sufficed to say we’ve over-delivered quite a bit!
Why do you feel your business is important to the community?

Our weekly show provides free information to folks in the cannabis industry for which most attorneys would charge an arm and a leg. Additionally, all of our expungement matters are dealt with entirely pro bono. No one else does it quite the way we do.
Is there any story you’d like to relay about your team?
Jeffrey, our Managing Partner, has been getting high since Reagan. He used to carry around a “red bag of tricks” with all his cannabis paraphernalia. Jeffrey is not an attorney who happened to get into cannabis. Jeffrey is a stoner who happens to be a (very very very) good attorney.

How would you describe your company’s workplace culture?

1. We will smoke you out
2. We believe in the mission
3. We will get it done!
Is there a story you’d like to tell about something you’re really proud of that your company has achieved or provides?
I led the team that got Humberto Ramirez, the Last Prisoner Project’s guy in New Jersey, out of jail. I met his wife Brooke out in front of the midtown Hilton at MJ Unpacked in ’22, and I told her we would get her husband out of jail. Four months later, it was done.
Describe for us your perfect customer and how your products or services solve something important for them?
If it touches cannabis, we do it. We love you all!!!
What are you looking forward to in 2024?
Opening many dispensaries and other businesses for my cannabis clients in New York.
