World-renowned magician and record-breaking headliner Criss Angel, The CORE Group, Caesars Entertainment, and BASE Entertainment held a second food distribution on June 4. Approximately 100 Cure 4 The Kids Foundation (C4K) patient families received their second distribution of nutritious food boxes and household items. Angel, through his Johnny Crisstopher Children’s Charitable Foundation, and The CORE Group provided $250,000 worth of donated food and other items to the families whose children are being treated at Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, Nevada’s only pediatric cancer treatment center. Combined with the food distribution held on May 14, the families received a six- to eight-week supply of food.
Annette Logan-Parker, President and CEO, Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, first thanked Angel and gave him a gift. Next, she thanked Tom McCann for helping with the distribution effort.
The CORE Group, represented by Cory and Yvette, was acknowledged for their contribution.
A plaque of gratitude was presented to Kim Gradisher, Executive Director of Tyler Robinson Foundation. Responding to an appeal from C4K, Tyler Robinson Foundation stepped forward, providing additional support to patient families who have difficulties getting to medical appointments. This effort will ensure patients without transportation can stay on their child’s scheduled cancer treatment plan by utilizing rides paid for by TRF. The organization also committed some of those funds to help deliver Criss Angel’s food boxes to the homes of families without their own vehicles. Tyler Robinson Foundation is the nonprofit organization of the GRAMMY Award-winning band Imagine Dragons dedicated to supporting children battling pediatric cancer.
Representatives of Nellis Air Force Base were on hand to accept their plaque of gratitude. Bar Code and East Ring provided the food for the volunteers who had arrived at 6 a.m. to set for the distribution. Criss Angel spoke and thanked the volunteers for all of their efforts.

“Thank you for coming out here when there was no obligation,” Criss said. “You did it out of your heart because you wanted to help fellow citizens and our community. God bless you, and thank you. This shows what the power of love can do. It doesn’t matter if you are black or white or who you are, rich, poor, young, old, it doesn’t matter. We are all in this together.”

Volunteers for Cure 4 The Kids FoundationThe donation also includes 1,000 tickets to future performances of MINDFREAK at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Tickets will be available to C4K families and frontline workers at C4K and Summerlin Hospital and were made available by Criss Angel, Caesars Entertainment, and BASE Entertainment.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, many patient families have lost jobs, lost their health insurance, or have suffered other financial hardships. The food donation will ensure families do not need to struggle to pay for food and other essentials, including rent, mortgages, and car payments.
